If you're new to the world of strap-ons, you'll notice there are many different types. We cover a lot of this in our 'how to use a strap-on blog post'. In this post, we are going to focus on selecting a dildo for your strap-on harness

The only thing that is important to know is that Personal preference is the key.  Finding the toy that works best for both you & your lover is just simply the best fun and helps your lovemaking a longer more sensual experience.

These adult toys are used where fingers and sexual organs are required but not available to you. Personal preference will then be entirely yours.  Carefully select length, girth, feel and shape and material type, then consider if you want to enjoy more movement and or vibration, this is your experience to enjoy and it is always a personal experience.

Finding Your Dildo

Start off by understanding what you & your partner want from a dildo. Carefully consider the length, girth, feel and shape and material type, then consider if you want to enjoy more movement and or vibration, this is yours to enjoy and it is always a personal experience.

If you just starting out, whether it’s for pegging play or something else, it is simple, start small and move on through the size range which best suits you from your experiences. In most cases, a kit is the best solution. A kit will contain all you need to get started & often contain multiple Dildos, increasing in size.

Matching Your Dildo To Your Harness

When buying a dildo for your harness, it will need to have a flanged base (in the form of a suction cup or thick circular flange). This is where it is secured onto your harness securely, a badly fitting dildo will not work well & will lead to a less than satisfactory experience. The better the connection and the tighter the harness will always give more pleasure and longer lasting lovemaking.

Take your current harness & measure the internal size of the o-ring. It's important that your dildo's girth is not greater than the o-ring. Some harnesses will come with adjustable o-rings, if your harness is adjustable, you have a much greater choice of dildos.

Installing Your Dildo

Method 1:

If your dildo has a solid flanged base & has no obstructive features, you will simply slide the tip of the dildo through the o-ring until the base of the dildo sits firmly against the o-ring. Secure the o-ring connections until the strap-on is firmly in place.

Method 2:

For dildos that cannot be slid through the o-ring, usually because of additional features such as testicles, then work the suction cup base through the front side of the o-ring until the whole suction cup has passed through the o-ring & is firmly in place.

Step into your harness & adjust the straps until you have a snug fit. When first using a strap-on, it can be strange, some users find it useful to wear it around the house for a few hours, it'll help when it comes to using it in the bedroom!

You will find sexual play is developed through a range of products but achieving maximum pleasure, enhanced the sexual experience is ultimately in understanding where they do, or, don’t excite you. Everyone is special and finding that moment of maximum pleasure will always be well worth some effort to find, if shared or alone.

Dildos & Dongs?

At SexSuperstore, we often we get asked the difference between a Dildo and a Dong, and essentially they are the same. One person’s Dildo is another’s Dong.  Dong is more a slang word, but they are both phallic shaped adult sex toys in this context.
